The GreenZero Charger by Bracketron

I'm adding this to my travel gear. The Mushroom GreenZero Wall Travel Charger features exclusive GreenZero Technology -- the most eco-friendly way to charge mobile devices while totally eliminating the wasteful stand-by consumption (Zero idle power) that other chargers consume when left plugged in. So when your iPhone or iPod is done charging it shuts off automatically. $35 at bracketron.com

The Perfect...Skin

The Capilene 2 Lightweight Crew by Patagonia

Taking on old man winter can be daunting, especially when you live in an erratic climate.  I find the Patagonia Light Weight Crew is perfect for almost any activity, especially on the slopes. Its open-knit construction breathes, wicks moisture and clocks the fastest dry time of all Patagonia's performance baselayer fabrics, preventing you from freezing on the lift. $45 patagonia.com

The Perfect...Post Shave

Morocan Neroli Post-Shave Lotion by Aesop

I have been using Aesop products for about 6 months now. Great packaging and intoxicating scents aside, they produce real results.  My fav is the post-shave lotion. It spreads effortlessly and acts quickly on dry and aggravated skin of the face and neck. Extracts of Neroli Blossom, Sandalwood and Bisabol calm and soothe without clogging. It's not easy to find this Aussie line in Canada but you can try ordering from the UK or visit one of two new shops in N.Y.C.  $50  aesop.com

The Perfect...Carve

The Great Beauties of History Snowboard by YES.

Finally, a board for a grown man.  After the success of the Great Dudes of History snowboards by YES, the company has flipped the switch by giving us Great Beauties of History.  The boards are an asymmetrical twin shape, use a Camrock profile, have one of the firmest flexes in the range and include a new nameless technology to increase grip.  If you want to go a bit more controversial (and give back to charity) try their Great Boobs of History, with proceeds going to help breast cancer survivors experience the life-changing effects of snowboarding through Retreat Yourself camps in Colorado.  $500  yesnowboard.com or at these global dealers

The Perfect...Slipper

The Fog Linen Work Slipper

On a recent trip east I happened to leave my favorite new slippers behind...and I haven't been the same since.  Made of durable linen and leather from Lithuania, these slip-ons are not only comfortable but keep my tootsies warm as the harsh winter approaches.  Did I mention how subtle they are?  To order on-line visit foglinenwork.com  or get them at fine stores in Gastown, Vancouver
